Kudos to Dr. Oz - Stem Cell Research

This post is a bit "dated" - But I was thrilled to see someone actually state (even on Oprah) how promising the adult stem cells are for curing certain diseases! The media ALWAYS neglects the information of the achievements of adult stem cells.
Watch Dr. Oz on Oprah with Michael J. Fox - who dispite my difference of opinion with him on the issue I will forever love Family Ties and you can tell he is a kind person - just wrong on this issue! ha, ha!

I don't know much about this subject, but I do feel sorry for Michael J Fox and his situation. I think it's great he is trying to get information out on his disease, even though it is so controversial.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU Tami for not being too shy to leave a comment! I appreciate that!
Yes, I cannot imagine the difficulties his family has gone through and it sounds like there is great hope in finding a cure! But I have to wonder if/when the cure is found to something like Parkinson's and it is found by adult stem cells vs. embryonic I would wonder if that is God telling us "people you were trying to bark up the wrong tree".

Thanks Katie. I have never been shy and sometimes put my foot in my mouth during inappropriate times. LOL! Seriously though, I do believe in God and do not think that science should be messing with embroys; however, I do respect everyones opinions and can understand why science would want to find cure to horrible diseases. I never heard of adult stem cells. Now I wonder, like you, why can't they be used instead of killing embroys?

I don't know! The media most definately down plays the fact that adult stem cells have numerous success stories and ESCs have done nothing significant in mice, let alone humans.
I am not sure if you will see this, but I wanted to ask google a few ?'s on this anyway! ha, ha
if you have a second check it out.
